Aglow is an international organization of women and men in more than 170 nations of the world, presenting biblical principles as solutions to the challenging issues of our time.

Vision Statement

To propel the Kingdom forward through the elevation of the knowledge of God.

Mission Statement

The Kingdom of God is the realization of the love, grace, power, and rule of God on earth.

Aglow International is a Kingdom Movement committed to:

• Living from      the Presence of God, creating the same atmosphere on earth as it is in      Heaven.
• Assembling      millions into a company of warriors, champions, and global leaders of      significance equipped with a Biblical worldview.
• Building the      Kingdom in all communities, cities and nations by developing apostolic      teams that demonstrate the power of Heaven.

What We Believe 

• We believe in the one      and only triune God. We acknowledge there is one true God consisting of      three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy      Spirit. (1John 5:5-8; John 1:1; Matt. 28:19-20 NKJV) 
• We believe that the      Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy      Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, crucified, died, was buried, and was      resurrected. He ascended into Heaven and is now seated at the right hand      of God the Father and is true God and true man. (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John      NKJV) 
• We believe that the      Bible in its entirety is composed of the Old and New Testaments; is the      Word of God, fully inspired and written under the inspiration of the Holy      Spirit, and is our rule of faith and practice. (2Tim.3:16-17 NKJV)
• We believe that all      are born sinners; the Holy Spirit convicts of sin; the Lord Jesus Christ      paid the price for sin by shedding His precious blood on the cross as the      atonement for sin; those who refuse to accept His sacrifice for their sin      are eternally lost; and those who repent of their sin and personally      accept the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior receive the forgiveness of sin and      life everlasting and are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. (Acts 3:19-21; Rom.      10:9-13; 1Cor 6:9-11 NKJV) 
• We believe in the      baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the      Spirit of God gives utterance, that all the gifts of the Holy Spirit are      valid and operative today, and that the fruit of the Holy Spirit should be      increasingly evident in a Christian’s life. (1Cor.12:7-11; Mark 16:17,      Acts 2:4; Gal. 5:22-23; Eph. 5:8-10 NKJV)
• We believe that the      redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ provides healing for our spirit,      soul, and body. (Jer. 17:14; Jer. 33:6; Is. 53:5; Matt. 10:8 NKJV)
• We believe that we      should obey Jesus’ command to preach the gospel to all the world. (Matt.      12:14; Matt. 28:19-20; Ps. 96:3; Rev. 14:6-7 NKJV)
• We believe that the      members of the Body of Christ are the Church and that they should      regularly fellowship with one another in a local church setting. (Acts      2:41-42; Heb. 10:24-25; Matt. 18-20; Col. 3:16 NKJV)
• We believe in baptism      by water. (Mark 1:8-9; Matt. 3:6;11,16 NKJV)
• We believe      in and look for the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ. (1Thes.      4:16-17; Heb. 9:28; Rev. 1:7; Matt. 24:36, 44; John 14: 1-3; Acts 1:11      NKJV)
• We believe in God’s      immutable creation of men and women to reflect His image. (Gen 1:27 NKJV)
• We believe each      person’s body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and that we are to glorify      God in our bodies. (Rom. 12:1; 1 Cor. 6:18-20 NKJV). 
• We believe we are to      walk in the Spirit and to flee sexual immorality. (Gal. 5:16; 1 Cor.      6:9-10; Gal 5; 19-21; Rev. 21:8 NKJV) 
• We believe that the      Bible defines marriage as the uniting of one man and one woman in a      single, exclusive union (Gen. 2:18-25 NKJV). 
• We believe that God      intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman within the      confines of marriage (1 Cor. 7:2-5; Heb. 13:4; Mark 10:6-9 NKJV)
• We believe that God’s      design for sexual intimacy in the context of marriage between one man and      one woman does not allow for the practice of homosexuality, both male and      female, and that the practice of homosexuality is incompatible with      Biblical teaching. (1 Cor. 6:9-10; Rom. 1:24-27; Eph. 5:31-32; 1Cor; 7:2;      Mark 10; 6-9; Heb. 13:4 NKJV)
• We believe that      marriage is not a human institution, but is a specific divine metaphor      that illustrates the union of Christ and the church. Only a union between      a man and a woman can properly illustrate the relationship between Christ      and His church. (Eph. 5:22-32 NKJV)
• We believe in and      provide an atmosphere of love and restoration that creates a setting and a      place of safety for those who struggle with gender issues, whereby they      can live according to stated Biblical teachings and not according to the      dictates of their own beliefs. (1 Peter 1:22 NKJV. “Since you have      purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere      love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart.”)

ABOUT AGLOW INTERNATIONAL

Small studies groups, care support (to hospitals, prisons, Youths teen, needy widows, orphans, refugee camps and in war-torn nations) retreats, outreach meetings, international and annual conferences make up the Aglow year. 

WHAT IS AGLOW?

Aglow is known as a radiant group of encouragers who continually speak of who God is and who God is in us.

The word Aglow is taken from Romans 12:11 in The Amplified Bible: “Never lag in zeal and earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the spirit.”

Aglow began in 1967 as a Christian ministry for women and was opened to women of all denominations. Long before an official announcement was made in 2009 by the International Board of Directors to welcome men in Aglow, men saw what God was doing among women and began forming groups for men in 2003. Today men and women are welcome to participate in all God is doing through Aglow. Aglow Fellowship International was established in Seattle, Washington in by four womenl. Today, Aglow spans the globe, reaching out to people of every creed, colour and culture worldwide.

Currently, Aglow is mobilizing millions around the world into a company of warriors, champions, and global leaders of significance. In each nation powerful Kingdom communities are being founded on the fullness of Christ where people are empowered to develop resources that enable them to take advantage of all that God is releasing from Heaven. 

The two fundamental pillars of the Organization are: PRAYER and Evangelism through OUTREACH with the Good news. Aglow is a special ministry that God is using to touch the lives of millions of people everywhere, introducing them to Jesus Christ and encouraging them to live in the power of the Holy Spirit. It is a channel of God’s love and power to homes, churches and communities. 

Aglow is an International Interdenominational Christian Organization spreading across 170 nations with over 4,000 local groups in all the six continents of the world. It ministers to an estimated 15 million people each year across the world through a network of local Aglow groups (Chapters). In Nigeria Aglow is in all the 36 states of the Federation including Abuja the Federal Capital, operating with over 100 chapters.

Message from the International President/CEO of Aglow International, 

Edmonds, Washington USA .

Greetings to each member of the Aglow Nigeria National Board and all those gathered for your National Conference.

Aglow Nigeria, I congratulate you on your continued excellence as you walk into the brilliant future that awaits you. God has been faithful and you can expect and look for His faithfulness as you walk forward.

In my opening comments to the International Board of Directors in Richmond, I stated that we are living in a culminating moment of time, and this phrase continues to resound in my spirit. As the 50th Anniversary Conference unfolded, it was quickly apparent that all who were in attendance, the Holy Spirit was overshadowing us. Dutch Sheets said, “There is an amazing weight of the Holy Spirit on this gathering. There is a new mantling, a re-commissioning. This is your breakthrough portal year.” I want to declare that over you, Nigeria. This is the year where everything you have known and experienced in Aglow will come to a culminating moment that causes the Kingdom of God to be propelled forward in all that you do. 

New doors are opening before you and fresh fire is being poured out. You have been positioned in Nigeria to bring people into the Kingdom. Your greatest days are before you. You are equipped for such a time as this and as you may recall on Sunday morning as Graham Cooke was finishing his Conference messages, he turned to give a prophetic word and the scepter to me – quite surprising.  As he spoke, he reminded us of the importance of the prophetic words spoken over the ministry since our birth. He told us that those prophetic words must be as intentional in our hearts as they are in God’s. 

Chuck Pierce cautioned us against a spirit of familiarity as we continue on with the work of God. The work God has given us to do. I want to say to you, Aglow Nigeria, look with fresh eyes and see the new that is emerging before you. It is not business as usual and you will find some things, possibly good things, will go by the wayside this year and be replaced with something even more spectacular. 

Process and change is interesting. You have to learn new patterns. You have to find new ways of living. 

It is the same with us in Aglow. In Richmond we corporately went through a portal. Welcome to a whole new era – a place where we have never been before. A place where the familiar has been removed and something new is emerging. In our walk with Jesus we know it is all about yielding to the leading of the Holy Spirit who comes daily to keep all things new in our hearts, our belief systems, and our life partners and patterns.

In God, nothing is stale. He isn’t day-old bread. He’s the Bread of Life and His aroma is fresh and causes us to hunger and thirst after His righteousness as He makes us over day by day into His image.

God has spoken that we will become a living visual aid for Him in the earth. And Jesus said, if you’ve seen me, you’ve seen the Father. God has poured into Aglow for 50 years. He has built a people who look like Him, who talk like Him, and who walk in the earth as He walked. I say to you, Nigeria, your greatest days are not behind you, they are before you. I join you as you welcome the King of Glory into the midst of all you are about. My heart’s cry for you is that you are formed and shaped into a living tabernacle for the presence of God. Everything, everything must flow from that place.

As we approach the coming of Jesus, our dependence upon His presence and His leading must increase. This is a whole new day and you are pregnant with a new move of God that will come through holy leaders. 

Aglow Nigeria, you are positioned spiritually to usher in a third great awakening in your nation. Look for His tangible, weighty presence in all that you do for that is what defines you. It is His presence.

I bless you in the name that is above all names, our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen

Dear Ones,

Loving greetings to you - Aglow Nigeria Leaders, Members and Friends! 

It is an exciting time to be a part of Aglow! Fifty years ago the Aglow ministry was birthed in the heart of God. Aglow is and has always been a work of God that is changing the world. The Lord is not finished with the ministry – our best days are ahead of us! All we have done in the first 50 years has been preparation for this time in history. 

This was confirmed through the prophetic words and messages given at the 2017 Aglow Global Conference – 50th Jubilee Anniversary as we stepped over the threshold into the New Era of Aglow.  

The word “alignment” was a key that was given and is important as we move forward as a ministry. In Aglow we are aligning as an Army – we are the Army of God! To quote statements spoken over the ministry:

Aglow, we are, once again, in the “right time.” Now, more than ever, it is crucial that we know our assignment from heaven. Alignment with God is vital, essential and crucial to our times.

People in alignment will surpass those who are out of focus.

The time is now as the world is experiencing great turmoil signaling the birth pangs of His return. The Lord has been preparing and equipping Aglow over the years for this time in history as we have grown into our true identity. We are learning to view difficulties through heaven’s perspective. We are learning day by day what it means to be a Game Changer and how to “change the game” in the challenges set before us. 

Each one of you who are gathered for this 2018 Aglow Nigeria National Conference, have been placed by God in your nation, your city and your community for such a time as this. Both individually and corporately, we are carriers of His Presence. May the world recognize the “hope” that is within us. 

Always remember, we serve a great and mighty God!

WELCOME ADDRESS OF THE NATIONAL PRESIDENT, AGLOW INTERNATIONAL, NIGERIA (MRS BISI ADELUYI) AT THE 2018 NATIONAL CONFERENCE

I am very delighted to welcome you the 2018 edition of the National Conference of Aglow Nigeria. All praise to God for making this event a reality.

The theme of this year’s conference is “God of Impossibility”!  The theme scriptures are taken from Mathew 19:26 and Luke 1:37 where God’s children were assured that things may be impossible with man but with God nothing is impossible.

Our God is a specialist in the impossible and the scriptures are full of accounts where God showed his ability to make the impossible simple.  No wonder the Prophet Jeremiah exclaimed:

Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee (Jeremiah 32:17, KJV)

As a fellowship we have tasted of the goodness of God and experienced him as a God of the Impossible both corporately and individually. We earnestly sought the face of the Lord before arriving at the theme of this conference.  As such, we are persuaded that our Lord led us to choose this theme because he is set to manifest himself as the God of the Impossible in an even greater dimension in our lives.

It is important for us to note though that those who experienced the remarkable power of God, both in the scriptures and in the present day, had a common attribute: they hearkened to the Word of God and they obeyed. To hearken means to listen attentively while to obey means to carry out God’s instruction. As we participate in the different sessions, God will speak to our hearts and it is important that we set our hearts both to hearken and to obey.
